NMUN NY 2026: Celebrating Outstanding Success
The MUN Siegen delegation has once again achieved remarkable success at the National Model United Nations (NMUN) Conference in New York. Representing Italy, our delegates demonstrated exceptional diplomatic skills, thorough preparation, and outstanding teamwork, earning several prestigious awards and distinctions.
For the fourth consecutive year, the delegation was honored with the Outstanding Delegation Award, the highest recognitions presented at the conference. This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of our students throughout months of preparation and intensive committee work.
In addition, the delegation received two Position Paper Awards, recognizing the quality of the delegates’ research, policy analysis, and written preparation prior to the conference.
Our success was further highlighted by the recognition of individual excellence within the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), where members of the delegation received the Outstanding Delegate Award for their exceptional performance during committee sessions.
Beyond the conference rooms, the MUN Siegen experience was also showcased through a video documenting the delegation’s journey. Produced by Sören Bloscheck from Campus TV, the project received a Video Contest Award, celebrating its creative and engaging portrayal of the NMUN experience.
